Digitalis grandiflora ‘Ambigua’—commonly known as Yellow Foxglove—is a dependable, woodland-edge perennial prized for its graceful vertical presence and soft yellow blooms. Each 2-inch tubular flower features attractive brown spotting and appears in mid- to late-summer. A favorite in pollinator-friendly and cottage gardens, it brings structure and longevity to shaded or woodland-style plantings. Deer-resistant and easy to grow, it thrives in partial shade to full sun and well-drained soil.
Best for Pacific Northwest gardens, it adds quiet drama and seasonal height (up to 3 ft) while blending beautifully with shade-loving companions like Astilbe, Hosta, and Heuchera. Cutting faded flower spikes can encourage occasional rebloom.
Note: All parts of foxglove are poisonous if ingested.
