DESCRIPTION:
Digitalis purpurea ‘Alba’, or white foxglove, brings timeless elegance to woodland-style gardens with its tall spires of pure white, bell-shaped blooms. A classic biennial, it forms a leafy rosette in its first year and blooms spectacularly in its second, creating a luminous vertical accent from late spring through summer.
This variety thrives in the cool, moist climate of the Pacific Northwest. The bright white flowers are a beacon to pollinators, drawing in bees and hummingbirds, while its foliage and upright form deter deer and rabbits. As a bonus, it self-sows readily—often popping up in future seasons for a naturally recurring display.
Note: All parts of the foxglove are toxic if ingested.
